MARRIOTT SPRING HILL SUITES HOTEL
Location: 1350 Del Monte Blvd.
Developer: C.W. Clark
Description: 95-room, limited service hotel
Next Step: Beginning environmental review. The public will be able to comment on the Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) in summer 2008
WEST BROADWAY URBAN VILLAGE
Location: Broadway and Palm avenues west of Fremont Boulevard, westernmost blocks of Amador and Elm avenues, parts of Del Monte and Canyon Del Rey boulevards
Developer: Various; most not yet selected. Reggie Jackson’s Landmark proposal is the only project with an approved exclusive negotiating agreement
Description: A mix of residential uses with ground-floor retail and other commercial uses
Next Step: Visioning workshop at Seaside Sparkles celebration Oct. 12, 4-8pm, City Hall, 440 Harcourt Ave., Seaside
AUTO CENTER REVITALIZATION
Location: Auto mall between Fremont Boulevard and Del Monte Boulevard
Developer: Seaside Redevelopment Agency
Description: Roadwork, new signals, landscaping and lighting
Next Step: Most of the improvements are on track to be completed by spring 2008
CITY CENTER SHOPPING CENTER
Location: Broadway Avenue and Fremont Boulevard
Developer: DBO Development
Description: More than 40,000 square feet of retail space for dining, shopping and services
Next Step: Starbucks, Washington Mutual and FedEx Kinko’s are open; more businesses will open in the coming months. The grand opening is scheduled for early 2008
SEASIDE LANDMARK
Location: Canyon Del Rey Boulevard and Del Monte Boulevard
Developer: Amador Hotel 44, LLC
Description: Reggie Jackson’s project includes an approximately 250-room hotel with a 15,000-square-foot conference center, parking facilities and some workforce housing on about 6 acres
Next Step: The development team is currently being assembled and is working on conceptual architectural drawings
SEASIDE RESORT (AKA FAIRMONT)
Location: 1 McClure Way at Bayonet and Black Horse golf courses on Fort Ord
Developer: Seaside Resort Development, LLC; operated by Fairmont Hotels and Resorts
Description: Four-star hotel with 330 rooms, 170 high-end timeshares and 125 residential lots fronting the golf course
Next Step: The first 30 lots are expected to be marketed for sale by the end of the year. Groundbreaking for the hotel phase is slated before the end of 2008

MAIN GATE RETAIL CENTER (AKA THE STRAND)
Location: East of Highway 1 and north of Lightfighter Drive on Fort Ord
Developer: Clark Realty Capital, LLC and General Growth Properties, Inc.
Description: An approximately 500,000 square foot lifestyle mall and 250-room hotel on 53 acres
Next Step: The developer is refining preliminary design plans based on community feedback. The Draft Environmental Impact Report will be circulated for public comment in late 2007/early 2008. Then the City Council will consider the draft EIR and proposed Disposition and Development Agreement, which specifies the terms of the land’s sale and development, in early 2008

Monterey Bay Blues Festival Project
Location: Near Colonel Durham Street and CSUMB campus or on 26 acres south of Lightfighter Drive at Highway 1
Developer: Monterey Bay Blues Festival
Description: Proposal calls for the development of a new office, classroom space, performance venue and a blues museum
Next Step: Exclusive negotiating agreement approved in summer 2007 governs the two alternate sites. Once the Main Gate project plans are finalized, the developer and the Redevelopment Agency will choose which to build on
KB BAKEWELL TOWN HOMES (AKA SHOPETTE SITE)
Location: Five acres at Monterey Road and Coe Avenue on Fort Ord
Developer: KB Bakewell, Inc. (Danny Bakewell, Jr.)
Description: 61 town homes and up to 3,500 square feet of commercial space
Next Step: The Redevelopment Agency will consider extending the existing exclusive negotiating agreement in the next 60 days
