Does your car have a name? If your car could talk, what would it say?

Asked at Highlands Gas Station in Carmel Highlands.

Follow-up: What is the fastest speed you have ever driven or been driven by someone else, and in what kind of car?

TIM CEPIN | Actor’s Union Rep | Salinas

A: No, my car doesn’t have a name. If my ’99 red Jeep Cherokee Sport could talk, it would say, “Beep beep, get out of the way.”

Road Runner: I would have to say 90 mph in a red Chevy Cavalier on a street in north Salinas. My friend was driving by a girl’s house because he wanted to egg her house.

ERIK SENISKA | Graphic Designer | Big Sur

A: I haven’t named my car– I think that whole naming the car thing is disgusting. I love my old gold Mercedes diesel sedan. If it could talk, it would say, “Take me in for a tuneup!”

One Run: I was in a silver BMW M3 being driven by my friend who was trying to show off. He accelerated to 90 mph on Highway 1.

FERNANDO MUNDO | Clerk | Carmel Highlands

A: I have not named my car, but if my car could talk it would say, “Wash me and treat me better so I can stay with you longer.” I have a 1988 Acura Integra.

Friend’s Benz: A couple years ago I was driving back from L.A. in a girlfriend’s Mercedes CLK and I was on Interstate 5. I think I reached 130.
