Follow-up: Do food scares affect your eating habits?
BRIAN HARTY | Salinas | FarrierA: My biggest fear right now is that John McCain will get elected as president— so I guess you could say that my greatest fear is the Republican Party.
Killer Tomatoes: Yeah. I went to my favorite restaurant, Chili’s, and they weren’t serving salsa. I really like tomatoes, but I am definitely not buying any now.
SHAWN SMITH |Pacific Grove | Resort ManagerA: I’m afraid of sharks. I guess it started around 1992. I was swimming in the ocean in Hawaii, and this pack of dolphins came up beside me. That was when I realized I was just a big floating piece of bait.
Quit Tripping: Nope, not at all. I don’t even really think about it.

Action Plan: I’ve always been careful. We can’t go without taking more extreme measures.
