Editor’s Note: Raymond Napolitano gets a rare week off this week, but not without giving his readers a quick reminder about upcoming food events. In his place comes a word on wine from Weekly contributor Blair Campbell. Campbell’s Wineaux column – a series committed to, as she says, “anti-snobs with a lust for life and a desire to save both time and money” – will be part of a rotating group of food and wine features that will appear in a new Weekly section called Edible Complex, slated to start this spring.
Get Ready… Here’s what’s coming up. Of course the Pebble Beach Food & Wine, March 27-30. Things are almost sold out, don’t mess around procrastinating… Earthbound Farm and the Lifestyle Academy at Quail Lodge presents Food to Live By, a culinary event featuring Myra Goodman, co-founder of Earthbound Farm and author of Food to Live By: The Earthbound Farm Organic Cookbook, and Sarah LaCasse, executive chef of Earthbound Farm – Saturday, March 29. A cooking demonstration, delicious lunch, wine by Heller Estates, signed copy of Food to Live By, chance to meet Goodman, 620-8820… Kurt Grasing and winemakers, great dinners, March 27-28, call 624-6562… Parker-Lusseau Easter Chocolate bunnies and more, 643-0300… great VIP party at Primo in P.G. … great tasting from Surf N Sand at Pasadera, I’ll recap those in a couple of weeks… Alberto “White Suit” Bonatelli of Alberto’s in P.G. is cooking up a wild new pasta creation cooked in red wine, plus his specialties of the house, 373-3993… “Chef Ressul spells his last name Rassallat.” Got that from Maria “Queen of Junipero” Murray. Hey, what do I know? I don’t even know how to spell my last name (neither does anyone else)…
