High court ruling backs Navy.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Navy's right to use submarine sonar that may be killing whales, dolphins and other marine mammals.
The Natural Resources Defense Council and other environmental groups say the sonar blasts are linked to mass strandings of marine mammals, nervous system injuries, brain and ear hemorraging, and "changes in breeding and migration patterns," according to The New York Times.
The Navy argued that national security interests trump environmental concerns, including the Marine Mammal Protection Act and the Endangered Species Act.
The Supreme Court's decision lifts restrictions imposed on the Navy by two lower courts in California.
