CITIZENS FOR PUBLIC WATER | MONTEREY—The blitz, say Citizens for Public Water, has begun. The push to buy out the privately-owned Cal Am water system includes letters to local mayors, railing against Cal Am’s proposed rate hikes at public meetings, etc. Learn more about this grassroots effort, and help develop a set of principles for conservation to accompany any plans for desalination at tonight’s meeting. 6:30-8pm.
