2009 Bronco World Series

Mexico City trounces Monterey 16-7 on Sunday night.

The Monterey fans kept cheering until the final out in the 7th inning, but after a seven-run 3rd inning, Mexico City was in charge of the entire game.

The young Pony League players smacked balls to the outfield during nearly every at-bat and stole bases on stray pitches from the numerous Monterey pitchers during a warm August Sunday evening at Jack's Park in Monterey during the 2009 Bronco World Series. The annual games, hosted in Monterey, bring teams from all over the world to complete in the little league world series.

A scoreless game until a huge offensive break by Mexico City in the the top of the third inning was kept up until a six-run final inning by the team, which included a grand slam by Oriz Roa. During their final at-bat, Monterey made up four runs, but Mexico's defense put a quick stop to not allow any more runs.
