And the Winner Is...

Organizers of the Blue Ocean Film Festival decide to locate future events in Monterey Bay.

After debuting this past June in Savannah, Ga., the organizers of the Blue Ocean Film Festival had been deliberating over which city—Savannah or Monterey—to locate the future home of the sprawling festival of films and symposiums centered around the ocean, as reported by the Weekly in October.

BLUE Ocean Film Festival & Conservation Summit, the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the National Marine Sanctuary System have announced that "the international film festival and conservation summit is coming to Monterey Bay." Fabien Cousteau, Bob Talbot and other community leaders, reads a press release, will speak at a press conference at the Aquarium on Wednesday, where a formal announcement will be made.
