Dan Baldwin to lead Community Foundation

Dan Baldwin, president/CEO of a foundation in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, will replace longtime Community Foundation for Monterey County leader Todd Lueders in March 2010, the foundation announced today.
Baldwin, who runs the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation, was chosen after a nationwide search. "His professional background, skills and abilities, and affinity for the region will make him a great fit to succeed Lueders and continue to lead the Community Foundation as one of the most respected Foundations in the field,” said Board Chair Richard Borda, in a prepared statement.
Lueders, who will retire April 30 next year, has been the senior staff member at the Community Foundation for nearly 30 years. "Under Todd's leadership, the Community Foundation has grown to become the largest grant maker on California’s Central Coast," Borda said. "His impact will be felt for years to come."
