What was your most memorable moment of the decade?

Asked at Coffee Mia in Marina.

Follow-up: What’s the most unrealistic New Year’s resolution you’ve ever made?

CHRIS GONZALES | After-school Counselor | Marina

A: The war: 9/11 and Afghanistan and Iraq – it was a shock watching it unravel before my eyes. This is stuff history books will write about.

Higher Calling: Going to church. I don’t think I made it once after saying I would.

RACHEL STANDISH | Homecare Assistant/Barista | Marina

A: Graduating high school in 2008. I am the first high school graduate in my family and the first to go to college.

Mission Unlikely: To stay motivated and go to school. It seemed impossible but I had to do it for my future.

DENIS DUBOIS | Insulation Technician | Marina

A: Probably the kid. Born on March 2, 2003. A girl, Sarah. My first and only.

Turkey Time: Quitting smoking. It was a resolution that took months to do and I didn’t think I could do it, but one day I just quit.
