Bach is Back

For the second year in a row, the Carmel Bach Festival will run for just two weeks.

In tough economic times, the shortened festival is less costly to present, yet doesn't scrimp on quality, says spokeswoman Dana Werdmuller.

The 2010 festival is the last for Music Director Bruno Weil and Concertmaster Elizabeth Wallfisch, who will both leave the festival after a nearly two decade-long partnership.  The program includes a farewell gala and commemorative concert to honor the two musicians.

Tickets for the Bach Festival's 73rd season, which runs from July 17-31 will go on sale early next year.
