What would be the first thing you’d do if elected mayor?
Asked at Haute Enchilada Café in Moss Landing.

Follow-up: What are your concerns about the future of Moss Landing?
KIM SOLANO | Entrepreneur | Moss LandingA: I would ask that every business conduct themselves in a green fashion.
Rough Landing: I hope it changes enough to economically thrive and not so much so that we lose our identity. We don’t have sidewalks, and we’ve maxed out our sewage system.
JULIE SCURFIELD | Server | Watsonville
A: I’d encourage more retail and improve the marina – make it more upscale, because people would come to look at boats.
Empty Net: They can’t fish for salmon because they overfished. And it’s hard to get onto Highway 1 [from Moss Landing Road].
JUAN J. VILLANUEVA | Cook | Las Lomas
A: I would want more people to get involved with stopping crime. I’ve seen people breaking into cars and no one calls the police.
Happy Place: We need to create more places for children to play, more places for kids to play sports and stay out of trouble.
