Delay Game?
Heritage Oaks developer requests delay of supes meeting until after election.
Friday, April 16, 2010
John Bridges, attorney for the Heritage Oaks developer, has requested the Board of Supervisors delay consideration of the North County project's appeal until after the June 8 election, raising concerns about whether the project is being stalled for political reasons.
The supes will consider Bridges' request on Tuesday or they could go forward with the 32-lot project's public hearing, which has been delayed multiple times and was previously rejected by the Planning Commission due to lack of a long-term water supply.
North County Supervisor Lou Calcagno is up for reelection and his challenger Ed Mitchell has made water and growth a central campaign issue.
