Monterey Institute for International Studies joins hands with Middlebury College July 1.

They may be a continent apart, but July 1, MIIS will officially add "a graduate school of Middlebury College" to its name.
Its integration with the elite Vermont liberal arts school stabilizes MIIS' financial situation,which will allow it to further develop programs like its Masters of Arts in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies, according to an internet posting by MIIS President Sunder Ramaswamy
But the most immediate change will be the inauguration of five new programs in which students can earn a B.A. from Middlebury and an M.A. from MIIS in five years. The MIIS - Middlebury lecture series will continue, and Ramaswamy notes that MIIS hopes to allow its students to participate in Middlebury's language schools in 34 cities in 13 countries.
