Peace Procession
Diocese to lead peace march

The Diocese of Monterey and Communities Organized for Relational Power in Action are organizing an anti-gang violence march in Salinas on March 27.
"Gang violence is a disease attacking our communities and our families," said Bishop Richard Garcia of the Catholic Diocese of Monterey. "We cannot allow it to continue. I call upon our communities to resist gang violence and to Stand Up for Peace."
The procession will stop by the sites of recent homicides and pray. The groups expect 2,000-2,500 to participate.
