Attempted murder suspect escapes from Juvenile Hall

Salinas Police and Monterey County Juvenile Probation are searching for 17-year-old Antonio Gregorio, after he slipped his security shackled and escaped during a medical visit in Salinas this morning.
Gregorio fled to the parking lot of the funeral home at Circle Drive and North Sanborn Road and got into a white sedan with two females, according to police.
"Gregorio was in Juvenile Hall awaiting sentencing as an adult for an attempted homicide charge," police said in a statement. "The attempted homicide involved the use of a firearm in the 500 [block] of Roosevelt [Street] in June 2009. Gregorio, a confirmed gang member, should be considered dangerous.
"Anyone with information as to the current whereabouts of Gregorio should call 911.
