What do you feel isn’t being taught in schools that should be?

Follow-up: What did you get away with as a student?
REBECCA THOMPSON | Stay-at-home Mother | MontereyA: There needs to be more of an emphasis on music, arts and P.E.
M.I.A.: I guess all the ditching I did. It probably wasn’t worth it, but it sure seemed like it at the time.
RONALD RAYMAKER | Retiree | Seaside
A: Birth control. Man, the world is going down the tubes. Sex ed isn’t doing it right.
Clean Record: Nothing really. I was always really by the book. That’s why I ended up becoming a teacher.
JENNIFER STEWART | Teacher | Carmel Valley
A: It’s all about academics these days, and I feel that the fun and enjoyment is affected. There needs to be more focus on the “love of learning.”
No Shoes, No Service: We used to just go barefoot if we felt like it, but that totally wouldn’t fly today. And we’d sometimes hide out in the girls’ room during class.
