PG Murder

Grisly stabbing death on 17 Mile Drive in P.G.

Forty-six year old Judith Salazar was found stabbed to death Sunday night in a home on 17 Mile Drive in P.G., according to P.G. police.

Lying next to her on the floor and also suffering from knife wounds was 26-year old Sunny Nguyen of Seaside.

Nguyen was airlifted to a San Jose hospital where he remains in police custody.

Nguyen's children, ages eight months and two years, who were also Salazar's grandchildren, were in the home, but they were unharmed. They were placed in county foster care pending investigation.

A cab driver, who feared he'd be stiffed, called police to the home. He had picked up a man in Seaside and brought him to the 17 Mile Drive house. The man asked him to wait at the curb while he went into the home for the fare, but the customer took so long that the driver alerted  police, according to a PGPD statement.

When officers arrived, they knocked on the door, but got no answer, the police statement says. They looked in a window and saw what appeared to be spattered blood on the wall, then forced their way inside, and found the dead woman and wounded man.

The P.G. police report they are investigating the murder.
