The Beach Boys' original member plays for a hometown crowd on Friday evening.

Al Jardine of the Beach Boys had a line of fans snaking up Highway 1 outside of Henry Miller Library on Friday evening before his first ever Big Sur show.
Jardine, with the help of his Endless Summer Band, rocked a crowd that had grown up on his music with classic Beach Boys tunes like "Little Deuce Coupe", "Good Vibrations" and "Fun, Fun, Fun", as well as tracks off his new record "A Postcard From California." The record revolves around locations on Highway 1 and Big Sur where Jardine lives and has a studio.
Even though Jardine had invited other former Beach Boys, like Brian Wilson and Mike Love who played on his new record, none of them showed up in Big Sur, but the full crowd didn't seem to mind as they sang along and danced during the band's near-two hour set under the Redwoods.
