Succulents survive on very little, what do you need to survive?

Asked at the Post Office in Pacific Grove.

Follow-up: How can you live more like a succulent?

GUITAR BOB | Musician | Pacific Grove

A: Two-Buck-Chuck; a bargain at twice the price!

Trim to Win: Cut back some more. Tighten the belt another notch.

TERI GARZA | Retired | Pacific Grove

A: More exercise, more walking, and being healthy. I’m doing pretty good so far. At the age I am, people tell me I have so much energy. The baby I walk every day gives me energy.

Too Hot: Less time in the shower and not using too much hot water when you do the laundry. I like to use cold water for laundry.

JOE WEISS | Retired Teacher | Pacific Grove

A: The most important thing is people. Support, care, and friendship. We have nine kids and a lot of built-in support.

Seasoned Locals: Get our needs met as locally as possible; food and vegetables, things like that. You can also do things with food and growing that uses much less water.
