If you were an outlaw, what would you do for the people?

Asked at Valley Hills Shopping Center in Carmel.

Follow-up: What would your costume or nickname be?

VERONIQUE TORNE | Social Worker | Gonzales

A: In Gonzales there are all these fresh produce trucks on the side of the road. A lot of that food goes to waste. I would take that food and make fresh salads for everyone. Salad for the people.

Miss Sunshine: A bright yellow costume.

JIM THURMAN | Physical Therapist | Carmel

A: I would steal the money from the rich and made sure that everyone who needed good health care could get it.

Dave Matthews Band Fan: Just call me Jimi Thing.

JANA SAUNDERS | Tasting Room Proprietor | Carmel Valley

A: A community bootleg wine project. I would make and sell wine under the table without dealing with all the bureaucracy.

Wine Hero: My nickname would be Cabi. Short for Cabernet, my specialty. It’s also my dog’s name.
