REGIONAL WATER PROJECT | COUNTYWIDE – The County Board of Supervisors is considering next steps after receiving a preliminary report on conflict-of-interest findings regarding contracts on the Regional Project. The county is in talks with Marina Coast Water District and Cal-Am on whether to re-execute agreements with better safeguards and whether existing agreements may be invalid. WHISPERING OAKS | SALINAS – The Board of Supervisors will make a final ruling on the Whispering Oaks project, including a new Monterey-Salinas Transit headquarters located on the former Fort Ord, after a preliminary approval June 14. TAPESTRIES OF HOPE | MONTEREY – The documentary Tapestries of Hope chronicles the stories of rape survivors in Zimbabwe. The award-winning film examines myths surrounding HIV/AIDS and sexual abuse.
