Street Talk 05.05.11 (asked @ Goodwill Industries in Seaside. )
What threat do you think is totally overblown?
Thursday, May 5, 2011
Follow-up: What should we be worrying about that we are not?
JAMESON MOHAMMADI | Student/Barista | Monterey
A: Middle Eastern terrorism. The media has fed us a total misconception of that culture based on a small proportion of people.
No Culture: Corporate power influencing politics on sustainability, and the perceived inability to do anything about that threat.
MELISSA HILTON | Paralegal | Pacific Grove
A: That single mothers are all on welfare. I know 30 single mothers, and one of them is getting financial assistance.
Without Representation: Unfair taxation for single mothers who don’t get child support.
DAVID THRASH | Self-employed | Seaside
A: Everything could be a threat if you don’t have the proper knowledge about it. If there’s a threat to someone then they don’t know God. He knows all.
Kids and Play: There’s not a lot of things for kids to do to keep them from making poor choices.
