What do you think of Fort Ord’s identity?

Follow-up: What excites you the most about its possibilities?

JACQI DAVIS Mentor | Carmel

A: In transition. We still call it Fort Ord, but it isn’t Fort Ord anymore.

Just Do It: Get rid of the rat-infested mosquito dumps. It’s a beautiful piece of land. Ocean research would be ideal here. Let’s use those parks, too.

A: It’s a historic place that once was. But now it’s one that could use some new development. There’s so much open land, you could really do anything with it.

Musical Make Up: Musical venues would be great. More sports complexes, too.

JANINA FEDEE | Sales Associate | Marina

A: I wish the city would fix it. They should’ve done that when the military left. Because it took so long to get things started, it’s very run down now.

Almost There: The buildings are there, so they wouldn’t have to start from scratch. Affordable housing would be nice.
