Follow-up: Who is your favorite innovative thinker?
AIDAN STELZRIED | Student | Pacific Grove
A: Jessica Black. She’s inspiring a lot of… bad music. Pop culture is just getting out of hand.
Locked Down: John Locke. He basically inspired the Constitution. He believed in the basic freedoms of the people and got us away from monarchies.
JIMMY MARTIN | Barista | Monterey
A: Probably my dad. He works 80 hours a week and doesn’t complain.
Poor Reception: Steve Jobs changed the way people live. What he did, God bless him. But you go to a little league game and all the kids are playing on their phones.
MICA TUCCI | Graduate Student | Monterey
A: My professor Dr. Kathleen Bailey. She opened me up to things I could do beyond teaching.
Spreading the Word: She’s a great innovator in her field, too. She’s contributed to language teachers education and helped start the TESOL program at MIIS.
