What Advice Would You Give to people making presents?

Follow-up: If you had to craft your gifts, what would you make?

LENORE PEREZ | Self-employed | Monterey

A: Go online and look for patterns for everything. It is a great asset – especially when making recipe jars [with ingredients for a whole recipe in one container].

Heady Stuff: I would knit or crochet a hat or scarf and give it to the Goodwill.

EDWARD HARRIGER | Retired | Pacific Grove

A: Research what is needed to make the gift, go to the stores and ask the experts, and be aware of possible safety precautions.

Ready to Hang: I would make a plaque or a wall decoration.

LINDA AGRATI | Homemaker | Monterey

A: Keep it simple. If you’re scrapbooking then don’t try to be too creative.

Tailored Genes: I would make something that has to do with family history.
