Q: What makes you feel most independent?

Q: What makes you feel most independent? Meka Boyle

Street Talk 07.05.12 (asked @ Valnizza’s Deli in Monterey.)

What makes you feel most independent?

Follow-up: What military training would you want?

AARON MONTGOMERY | Field Tech | Salinas

A: My job, because I’m able to support myself and my family, and just the freedom of living in America in general.

Ready for Liftoff: A fighter pilot. Ever since I was little, I’ve thought it would be cool to fly jets and shoot missiles.

MANNY AMORIN | Sales Associate | Monterey

A: Working at a plant nursery. I don’t know anyone else who does that, and a lot of people in my generation don’t appreciate plants and nature as much as they should.

Specific Aim: Sniper training because it is intense and requires a lot of precision.

DEBBIE BERON | Stay-at-home Mom | Monterey

A: Living on my own and being a mother. The responsibility of taking care of my daughter makes me feel independent.

Perfect Antidote: Medical training because it would mean hands-on situations and I’m sure it would be very fast-paced.
