Maybe it’s because they linger in the beautiful bellies of tourist-destination hotels, but two of the best places for tasty, sustainable, inventively prepped seafood in the county tend to swim just under the surface. For locals, though, The C and Schooners share more than progressive chefs, Cannery Row addresses, impressive (and extensive) happy hours, and smack-dab-on-top-of-the-ocean viewscapes: They both enjoy elevated booths that allow for elbow room and perspectives of the nicely appointed dining area and Pacific beyond.
