Mission Ranch is synonymous with Clint Eastwood, which could be enough to explain why this has been voted the Best Bar for Folks Over 50. But there’s more. Located on 22 of Monterey County’s most beautiful acres and armed with excellent drinks, a world-class menu, a staggeringly good piano bar and the chance to see Eastwood himself, you can see why the mature crowd flocks to the place like the Elysian sheep in the meadows outside. The not-so-well-kept secret is that a lot of people much younger than 50 consider it the best as well. Have a steak, a glass of Monterey County wine and gaze out on the pastures from Mission Ranch’s heated patio. And keep an eye out for the old man. He may show.
