How can they win this award when they don’t even have that many wines by the glass? Easy. Jennae Lizza, wine director, sits down with wine reps once a week to taste through boatloads of wine so diners get only the best. Their program includes crowd-pleasers like Thomas Fogarty’s buttery Chardonnay and eclectically delecious reds like the spicy Nerello blend from Sicily. Because servers are given homework and quizzes on the wines they feature, the Passionfish staff are well-educated and sell wines that would normally be overlooked by complacent wine buyers.
