Hiding In Plain Sight - About The Photographers

(left) “I was having a rough day and one of these women could tell,” Lina Vital says. “First, she wasn’t scared to call me on whatever emotion she saw come up. She saw my pain and gave me words of encouragement. She said she wanted to give me a hug and it was one of the best hugs I ever had. The comfort in that hug. My God, you have so much to offer our community.”

She felt a little uneasy because she wasn’t sure how long it was going to last. She told me tons of stories that happened to her on the street.”

occurrences or a missed paycheck away from being homeless ourselves.”
