Q: What do you think is the most old-school thing about you? Bobby Messenger

Street Talk 09.13.12 (asked @ In-Shape Fitness in Monterey.)

What do you think is the most old-school thing about you?

Follow-up: What do you think will be old-school in 20 years?

AARON ALIOTTI | Account Manager | Marina

A: Religion. It shouldn’t be [old-school], but it is. My work ethic, accountability, responsibility all stem from that.

I’ll Be Back: People. We’ll all be robots. It’ll be like Terminator, man.

CHARLENE DORAN | Counselor | Seaside

A: I like writing in cursive. My grandkids can’t even read it. I like pencils and paper. Good pencils and good paper.

Protection Connection: Communication, the sense of how to protect yourself. Teaching our children to protect themselves.

WITOLD PIEKORSKI | Biologist | Prunedale

A: The skill of delayed gratification. The younger generation has a tendency to want things now, and believe they can’t be happy unless they get it now.

Happiness Now: It’s impossible to say. People need to learn the art of living in the moment, though.
