Follow-up: What can the Internet never replace?
CAROL SHIELDS | Librarian | Seaside
A: Google. The Internet makes information easily accessible. It helps me find out what people are talking about.
Paper Vs. Metal: The relationship with physical copies of a book. I can’t cuddle up with a machine.
MARC SHEINFIELD | Professional Transient | Seaside
A: It’s an information highway. It’s creating a faster, quicker world that’s not capable of slowing down.
Embrace It: The Internet can never replace human compassion. No one talks to you any more. No one gets to know anyone.
ROSA SANTANA | Homemaker | Seaside
A: Sales – people are always trying to find a way to make money on the Internet. It gives quick answers and its faster in giving information. You can get things done without using up gas.
Inter-ego: Real human connection. You can’t see and touch through a screen.
