This downtown Monterey fixture has always paired delicious Italian food with warm Mediterranean decor and live music in an intoxicating nightlife concoction that attracts a mature crowd. And when the kitchen closes on the weekends it feels more like a dance club, but four nights a week, they shift from funk, old school and R&B to a more jazzy vibe. Bonus round: happy hour jazz jams on the first and third Sunday of the month 3:30-6:30pm.
