Field of Dreams: Seaside’s planned Main Gate shopping center site off Lightfighter Drive is still vacant. While Main Gate and other projects on the former Fort Ord have secure water rights through the Marina Coast Water District, developers have been hesitant to commit to projects in Cal Am's service area, in part because of the uncertainty around water credits.
