Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!: With more than 30 years of geologic research under her belt, Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute CEO and Stanford geophysics professor Marcia McNutt is Obama's nominee to head the U.S. Geological Survey. If confirmed, she'll be the 120-year-old agency's first female director.
