$1: The amount, in the form of an income tax donation, that can help save California sea otters. Last year, state citizens donated nearly $295,000 to sea otter conservation through their state income tax form; the money raised by the fund supports research and recovery projects including those conducted at the Department of Fish and Game (DFG) marine mammal facility in Santa Cruz.
