Not Horsing Around: (L) Community activist Ed Mitchell says he doesn’t ride horses but has long been an equestrian caregiver - “I’ve shoveled horse and cow manure for a third of my life.” Cow King - (R) Incumbent Supe Lou Calcagno’s family built a dairy on Elkhorn Slough in the 1930s. He’s an olden times orator who has a history of cutting political deals, to the chagrin of foes.
