Test Case: Carrie Butler and her husband, Robert, spent a few hours in jail as they battled to save their Prunedale home. “Our attorney told us to stay on the property no matter what,” Carrie Butler says. “The officer who took us to jail said, ‘If you guys are caught on that property again, it will be a felony.’”
