Big Ups: Washington D.C. stoner rockers Dead Meadow started their own record label, Xemu, in 1998 and have built a roster that includes The Lovetones’ frontman Matthew J. Tow and The Brian Jonestown Massacre, flower power-meets-pop-punk offshoot, Strangers Family Band.
