Hula's Island Grill and Tiki Room
622 Lighthouse Ave., Monterey
An intimate local's restaurant offering an amazing dining experience in a tropical setting. Voted Best New Restaurant in 1998, we have a passion for fun, friendly, enthusiastic service, the freshest fish, great steaks, seafood, and an overall menu which includes a hint of Asian, a dash of Latin and a touch of Caribbean, all with Hawaiian inspiration.
Ours is an innovative approach that will take you on a culinary adventure and tantalize your senses. We are family owned and operated, the creation of brothers Chris and Craig Delaney of New York City and Maui.
A recent survey found that 93 percent of the diners at Hula's are residents of the immediate area; Carmel, Pebble Beach, Pacific Grove and Monterey; and that the majority of those persons visit at least once a month.

*Duke’s Luau Pork Plate*
Craig Delaney was inspired by a local named Duke, who set up shop just past the 26th bridge on the road to Hana. Duke’s pork was the best, and his success came from one simple cooking rule: low heat for a long time. Duke finished his pork with an awesome homemade sauce that Craig has recreated as an original sauce for Hula’s, our soy glaze (citrus and pineapple juices, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, sake and molasses). Served with grilled pineapple, jasmine coconut rice and ginger slaw. 622 Lighthouse Ave., Monterey, (831) 655-4852, www.hulastiki.com
