The Mundo brothers story began in a humble, modest home in the small city of Cuernavaca, Mexico. From an early age Eli, Fernando, Gerardo and Aurturo learned how to make flavorful dishes from their mother Reyna. They learned how to use spices, prepare legumes and vegetables, as well as the skills needed for a variety of mouthwatering salsas. Over the years, Eli and Fernando experimented by combining traditional Latin flavors with contemporary dishes. In 2004, they began to create of delightful menu of unique sandwiches while working with a Head baker in Pacific Grove, CA. The Mundo Bros. gave the traditional sandwich spread a personal touch, which paved the way for the delicious Chipotle Aioli and Chimichurri Sauce, used in a variety of their dishes. Eli and Fernando believe in preparing a choice dish that they would be happy to serve their own family. We invite you to visit Mundos Café on Fremont Ave to try one of our savory gourmet sandwiches.
