The 16th annual International Conference on Alternatives to Methyl Bromide is being held this year in San Diego. This conference has brought together researchers from around the world for 16 years to present findings on this topic. The best alternative found so far has been methyl iodide. The California Strawberry Commission, the US EPA, USDA and California DPR have sponsored research presented at the conference.
