No thanks to Monterey County Weekly in the effort, ACROSS THE POLITICAL SPECTRUM, to get rid of Dave Potter. Real diversity and inclusiveness means that sometimes a Republican may be the right choice, but the Weekly turns out to be all about labels. Thanks to readers who made their own call. District 5, PLEASE vote for Del Piero in the November runoff.
Surprise, surprise, Dave Potter and Byrl Smith linked by their rich buddy Brian Boudreau, Mr. Monterey Downs....
District 5 voters, please PLEASE don't give us Potter again.
The first letter writer, Ruby_Flores , echoes my thoughts exactly. Why oh why would the Weekly endorse Potter rather than Del Piero? Simple blockheaded bigotry because Marc is a Republican? The Greens got it right in their endorsement of Del Piero.
Potter is the best buddy of Monterey Downs and the chief villain in MST putting their bus yard on 4500 oak trees at Whispering Oaks.
PLEASE, PLEASE, District 5, 16 years of this man is enough. Local recreation and environmental activists shouldn't have to work so hard.
