You should contact the CPUC with the information you just provided. They need to know there are other options. Marina Coast Water District and Cal Am don't have the Monterey Peninsula ratepayers best interests in mind. If there are other options, then they need to be presented.
I'm thrilled this project was denied. Simply saying "we have to follow a reuse plan" is crap. They can find another location. They don't have to plow down 4400 live Oaks! And planting one for one? How are they going to find or afford planting 4400mature live oaks trees?? This is a beautiful area. We should not approve plans that destroy the natural landscape. Find another location or build around them!
