SPCA Pet Calendar Contest: Make Your Beloved Baby a Pin-up Star

The moment is here.
You know, the one you've awaited with more urgency than the kid moving out. The one you've known is more deserved than the first pension payment after 50 years at the pretzel plant. The one that will change your life in a way more meaningful way than another silly grandkid could.
Your dog's star turn.
There are just a few days left to enter SPCA of Monterey County's 2012 Calendar of Superstar Pets contest.
"Imagine: your beloved companion could be a featured pet in The SPCA's 2012 calendar," writes spokesperson Beth Brookhouser.
All entries are published in the collage pages, and 13 lucky pets will be chosen to highlight each month. All entries receive a free calendar upon publication and proceeds support the many services provided by our SPCA.
The deadline: Wednesday, Aug. 31. Visit the SPCA website's contest page for a link to file a photo.
