Mozzo Kush's Kyler Mello Launches EDM Side Project

Now that 18-year-old Kyler Mello has graduated from Pacific Grove High, he can put all his time and energy into what he digs doing most: making music. The lead singer/guitarist of Mozzo Kush—this year's winners of the High School Battle of the Bands—has a new solo project that's completely different from the feel-good jammy stylings of his four-piece band.
Under the moniker Tetra Bomb, Mello constructs tripped out, candy-colored electronic dance music—in the spirit of Swedish House Mafia and Skrillex—using Ableton Live, an APC20 for clip launching, and a Behringer BCR2000 for synth modulations and effects.
The soundscape definitely has the ability to inspire booty shaking, but it's also the kind of thing you can put on and enjoy with a joint and let the beats guide you deep into the cushions of your couch. Enjoy a 15-minute taste of Tetra Bomb below:
