JGB Band Featuring Melvin Seals to Play Fernwood

Grateful Dead Mania continues in Monterey County. On Sunday, April 22, Melvin Seals and the JGB Band will channel the spirit of Jerry Garcia at the Fernwood Campgrounds in Big Sur at 2pm. (Tickets HERE).
In addition to Jerry Garcia and bassist John Kahn, electric organist Melvin Seals spent more time in the Jerry Garcia Band than any other of its bandmembers. The longtime tenure earned him a permanent place in the Grateful Dead and eventually led to the JGB Band, which Seals formed a year after Garcia's death. The band's mission: "continue the musical legacy of the Jerry Garcia Band and pay tribute to Garcia by performing his songs and remaining faithful to his style."
Harry & The Hit Men and Birdhouse are set to open the afternoon show.
