Today in Amusing Irony: A caught-on-camera Occupy Monterey protester clocks a provocateur—after imploring him to be peaceful.
This YouTube gem, uploaded by user The Kaffee Klatch, succeeds in making both parties look like supreme d-bags. Sure, the guy behind the camera(phone) is being a jerk with his incessant permit questions (the camp's legit, dude), but sorry, bandanna-ed Occupier, you don't ask someone to chill out and then lose your cool.
The Occupier's simmer-then-shove reaction certainly isn't representative of everyone in Occupy Monterey Peninsula (in fact, they're a pretty mellow bunch), but it makes it tough for the rest of Occupy Monterey to keep the peace—not to mention save face. "Bad response," says fellow occupier Colin Gallagher via Twitter.
