The Sh*t Has Sailed from Lovers Point

The Monterey County Health Department rescinded an advisory issued Wednesday for Lovers Point beach due to high bacteria levels in water samples collected Tuesday. Subsequent sampling has confirmed that the levels of bacteria are now within healthy limits for recreational activity.
High bacteria levels present in seawater can be attributed to human activity as well as marine life and may cause higher risk of contracting an illness.
